The neighbourhood
You're right in the centre of Como: the Cathedral is about 500 metres away, the lakefront and the Brunate funicular a few minutes on foot. Restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets all around; Como Lago station is about a 13-minute walk. The nearest parking is along Viale Varese (paid), less than a 5-minute walk from the house. The host speaks Italian, English and French, on hand for tips on itineraries and boat trips. Milan about an hour away.
