The neighbourhood
Lipomo is a quiet residential town on the first hills southeast of Como, just ten minutes from the centre and the lake yet away from the crowds. Lake Montorfano is a stone's throw away — a nature reserve with a walking loop and a lido for a summer swim; the prestigious Golf Club Villa d'Este is in Montorfano. Como and the lake are ten minutes away: the lakefront promenade, the Brunate funicular, Villa Olmo. Supermarkets, pharmacies and a McDonald's a few minutes away; well connected, with Milan about an hour away.
